Job Summary
The Cybersecurity Cloud Subject Matter Expert will ensure the architecture and design of cloud-hosted IT systems are secure and meet DOD requirements.
Responsibilities
The Cybersecurity Cloud Subject Matter Expert will:
- Review Cloud security policy and provide recommendations for improvement
- Apply knowledge of current advances in cloud security engineering and cloud security threats
- Provide input to programs throughout the process of deployment to ensure systems meet DOD compliance requirements
- Provide guidance to assessment staff in the performance of Cybersecurity Vulnerability Assessments as related to cloud hosting environments
Qualifications
Necessary Skills and Knowledge
- Excellent organizational skills
- Familiar with information security and assurance principles and associated supporting technologies
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum of 7 years of experience securing and architecting complex IT systems
- At least 5 years in cloud environments (e.g., OCI, AWS, Azure)
- Experience leading or significantly contributing to cloud security assessments, audits, or compliance reviews
- Extensive knowledge of cloud security best practices, frameworks, and standards (e.g., CIS Controls, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, CSA Cloud Controls Matrix)
- Cloud certification (GCP, OCI, AWS, Azure, etc.)
- Experience working with enterprise DoD IT
- Required to possess a DOD SECRET Clearance and be eligible for an IT-I Critical Sensitive security clearance or Tier 5 (T5) at time of proposal submission
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
Pay and Benefits
The annual salary range for this position is $115,000 - $185,000. We provide a competitive base salary commensurate with your qualifications and experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including:
