Information Systems Security Engineer

Overview

Peraton is seeking an Information Systems Security Engineer to support cybersecurity activities across a new satellite ground system development program supporting the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).

Responsibilities

• Support all cybersecurity and information assurance activities throughout the full system lifecycle
• Ensure compliance with federal security requirements
• Implement secure architecture, controls, and processes for a FISMA High-impact system
• Collaborate with other program functional elements to ensure cybersecurity is fully integrated into system design and delivery

Key Activities

• Establish and maintain system security needs for operations development
• Define security requirements
• Conduct security risk assessment
• Perform systems analysis, design, and testing
• Develop and maintain security documentation, including System Security Plan (SSP), FIPS 199, FIPS 200, and other associated compliance documents
